New solutions for the railway

The work of implementing EDI solutions on the railways has now intensified and is entering a new stage. Through EDI, we simplify and improve the information flow with our rail customers, which is a part of APM Terminal's digitization work.

The advantage lies in the time savings generated when the information now can be transferred with EDI and the systems talks to each other in a fast, efficient and safe manner without sources of error. Through EDI, the information quality is raised and transmitted digitally, which leads to reduced administrative work for all and great efficiency improvements for APM Terminals and our rail customers.

After the summer, we will also implement portals for OCR on the railway, which will lead to further improvements as the trains can be read automatically. The purpose is to automatically load information on incoming and outgoing trains, for faster handling.

The rail portal for OCR is already physically installed and system trimming is in progress.
