Go Live for new self-service Gate 4

Our self-service Gate 4 is now complete. With the new gate, APM Terminals in Gothenburg takes another important step towards a modern terminal with self-service in the gates, as in many other terminals round the world. In December, Gate 3 was taken into operation, and on Monday June 17 it is time to open Gate 4, with the same high performance that Gate 3 already offers.

- With this investment of new technology, the verification of arriving and departing containers will take place automatically. We have also doubled our capacity to handle trucks, says Patrik Foureaux project manager at APM Terminals Gothenburg.

With both self-service gates in operation, we will have the opportunity to adjust the opening hours according to the customers' needs and demands. 

- The investment with the self-service gates eventually enables us to receive trucks around the clock, five days a week, says Morten Brühl, CCO.
