Customer excellence - truck driver experience
We always strive to improve our service and customer experience at APM Terminals. Therefore, at the end of 2018, we started a global collaboration with some of APM Terminal's largest terminals in the world. The aim was to improve the service to the truck drivers who visit our terminal.
Information via SMS
In May, we started the service to send sms to the truck driver in case of possible disturbances at the terminal. Examples are disturbances in any gate or in our operating system that cause longer handling times inside the terminal or affects access to the terminal. We believe that truck drivers appreciate information about temporary queuing so that they can quickly plan or get an increased understanding of why queuing has occurred.

Reminder of renewed access card
Now it is also possible for the truck driver to get a reminder of renewing his access card. The reminder will be sent by e-mail 30 days before the pass card becomes invalid. The goal is for no one to be denied access due to expired access cards.
In order to receive a reminder via e-mail, an email address needs to be provided when Safety Induction is carried out, or contact Customer Service.
