Unstoppable, invincible, powerful – APM Terminals Bahrain continues its Lean transformation

Unstoppable, invincible, powerful. Just some of the words APM Terminals Bahrain's 2022 Graduates use to describe themselves after graduating from its Lean academy.

Lean methodology is a way of optimizing the people, resources, effort, and energy of your organization toward creating value for the customer. It is based on two guiding tenets, continuous improvement and respect for people.

"A lean culture leads to great achievements and great things are done by a series of small things brought together," says Karl Darius Gnonlonfin, Head of HSE & Transformation at APM Terminals Bahrain. "Being lean practitioners, we have the privilege and responsibility of being change and improvement ambassadors in our terminal."

APM Terminals Bahrain opened its Lean Academy in 2019. By 2022, 113 employees have achieved level 3 accreditation, and 6, level 4.
