Reminder: Please cancel or reschedule empty return appointments that aren't required

Dear Client,

APM Terminals Port Elizabeth appreciates all the efforts made to cancel or reschedule appointments that will not be used to allow others to book as needed.

We have noticed an increase in empty return appointments being wasted and would like to remind everyone to please be mindful when booking empty returns, especially when APM Terminals Port Elizabeth is the only return location for a specific steamship line. Data below shows the number of MAE 40HC empty return appointments we allowed this week vs how many we received. Unfortunately over 200 of the appointments are wasted daily.

• Mon. 5/16 allowed 775, received 517 = 258 wasted
• Tue. 5/17 allowed 900, received 618 = 282 wasted
• Wed. 5/18 allowed 775, received 472 = 303 wasted

We ask you to please manage your appointments accordingly and only book what you plan to use to allow others to secure appointments as well. We appreciate your continued support.
