APM Terminals Pier 400 Supports Marine Mammal Care Center Los Angeles in Vital Marine Conservation Efforts

APM Terminals Los Angeles Pier 400 (APM Terminals) is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Marine Mammal Care Center Los Angeles (MMCC), a leading non-profit dedicated to marine conservation along the Los Angeles County coastline. This collaboration underscores APM Terminal’s commitment to protecting ocean health and biodiversity by underwriting MMCC’s South Bay Rescue and Response program for the next year.

APM Terminal’s sponsorship will significantly bolster MMCC’s capacity to carry out essential rescue operations, enhance public education on marine conservation, and contribute to scientific research in the South Bay. MMCC rescues more marine mammals per mile of coastline than any other organization in the United States. They are the only organization authorized to rescue and rehabilitate marine mammals throughout Los Angeles County, including Catalina Island. They are a key partner to coastal cities and all Los Angeles County residents in managing and conserving our marine natural resources. With increasing reports of stranded, entangled, and distressed marine animals in our community, MMCC’s work is more important than ever.
