Extended opening hours at APM Terminals Aarhus

APM Terminals Aarhus is extending its opening hours from Monday to Thursday, now offering access between 18:00 and 20:00, in addition to the existing operating hours. 

"This extension offers greater flexibility for our customers while easing the operational pressure at the terminal, ultimately helping to minimize waiting times," says Helle Almind, Commercial Manager at APM Terminals Denmark.

To take advantage of these extended hours, appointments must be scheduled by 9:30 on the preceding weekday. A minor additional charge will apply for pickups and gate access during this time - please contact us for more details.

Preparing for time slot implementation

The extended hours will also serve as a test phase for our upcoming truck appointment system. "This is a great opportunity to prepare for the future introduction of time slots," Helle Almind explains. Initially, the focus will be on day slots, with plans to gradually introduce shorter intervals. 

Strategic investments in operational enhancements

In recent years, APM Terminals Aarhus has made substantial investments to optimize terminal operations, focusing on critical upgrades such as our automated gate system. “These upgrades have enabled us to extend our opening hours while keeping additional costs for customers at a minimum”, Helle Almind concludes.
