It is the second economic gateway to Côte d'Ivoire after Abidjan and the world leader in the exportation of cacao beans. It serves as a gateway to the landlocked countries of Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger and to the Easthern areas of Liberia and Guinea
APM Terminals San Pedro offers the following facilities:

- Capacity: 574 TEU (20 'equivalent)
- Warehouse: 1,300 m²
- Container reconditioning station (washing, painting, sweeping, repair, etc.)
- 1 weighbridge certified by CCI
- 6 reefer connections
