New coastal service strengthens APM Terminals connectivity with the rest of India

APM Terminals Pipavav (GPPL) welcomed the first call of the Colombo Cochin Gulf (CCG) service last week, when the M.V. SM Manali V-0029 berthed on June 10. The service strengthens Port Pipavav’s connectivity with the rest of India and will effectively cater to the needs of top corporates in the region. It will facilitate the continuous movement of commodities such as soda ash, wheat, tiles, and cotton. 

The CCG service was introduced in support of a Government of India initiative known as the Sagarmala Program, which aims to unlock the potential of waterways and the coastline through port-led development. The CCG service is a flagship coastal service offered by Sima Marine India Pvt. Ltd.; a subsidiary of a prominent container feeder service company based in Dubai.The partnership with Sima Marine India Pvt Ltd reinforces our commitment to facilitate seamless trade through coastal and export/import sectors.

The service rotation includes Mundra, Pipavav, Mangalore, Cochin, Colombo, Katupalli, Vizag, Krishnapatnam, Katupalli, Colombo, Cochin, and Mundra.

The CCG service marks the second offering by Global Feeder Shipping to call APM Terminals Pipavav, with the first being the MPG [Mundra Pipavav Gulf] service that commenced regular weekly calls in December 2022.
