Our Terminal

sfct-logoThe South Florida Container Terminal (SFCT) is located in the Port of Miami, USA. It is the first port of call for Florida-bound cargo from Latin America and Asia. Its ideal proximity to the Caribbean and the Americas makes SFCT a strategic connection point for the rest of the world. It is also the closest US port to the Panama Canal and ideal for Latin America connections with close proximity to the Miami International Airport – for sea-air business and the Greater Miami Free Trade Zone. The Miami Customs District is one of the ten largest in the U.S., with total trade through its airports and seaports exceeding $100 billion annually.

A 3-year densification and terminal redevelopment project has transformed the terminal into a more sustainable operation with new, electric rubber tire gantry (RTG) cranes and added cargo storage space using a densification model which allows 2.5 times more usability in the container yard.

The the terminal is designed to help logistics flow smoother to Florida customers while being quieter, cleaner and safer for our Labor partners and neighboring communities.
The terminal has touchless gate kiosks to improve the trucker experience. Truckers enter and exit through weigh-in-motion scales that safely process their cargo information and keeps them moving safely and efficiently through the terminal.
