Barge update
We would like to handle your barges as well as possible. Together, we are continuously working hard to make the handling process even safer, faster, and more reliable.
Procedure shifters on barge
Consistency is necessary to further optimize our reliable container handling. Recently, the barge operators have been informed about the procedure regarding the execution of shifters on barges. The captain must indicate which containers need to be moved by using a list or move plan of container numbers, which can be sent to mvii.bargeplanning@apmterminals.com. The captain is responsible for informing the operator of the cost of the relocated containers. Would you like more information about these costs? Please contact Judith Versteeg (judith.versteeg@apmterminals.com)
Feeders on the barge quay
Customers are now served even better. A pilot is currently ongoing to determine whether feeders can also be handled on the barge quay. This is to make the best possible use of the capacity on the terminal for all parties. Similarly, barges are also occasionally handled at the deepsea quay. Our reliable handling remains a point of attention which is carefully monitored to ensure that the barge waiting time does not increase.
