COVID-19: Both Vado Ligure Terminals are fully operational

Following the latest restrictive measures issued by the Italian government to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus throughout the country, APM Terminals Vado Ligure (Reefer Terminal and Container Terminal) continue to operate normally with additional safety protocols in place.

Following the emergence of this health emergency, the company immediately set up an internal crisis committee to constantly monitor the situation.
The operation of Vado Gateway is possible, only if in compliance with all the necessary measures to protect the health of workers engaged within the port infrastructure.

The main precautionary measures promptly adopted, in compliance with the provisions of the ministerial decrees issued to date, include:

• Sharing with all staff a full range preventative measures and behaviours to be adopted to minimize the risk of contagion;
• Reinforcing the sanitization of workstations and work areas;
• The separation of company departments and shifts to reduce contact between people as much as possible;
• The elimination of off-site activities and / or visits by third parties;
• Activation of ‘smart’ working for authorized functions and roles; currently about 90% of employees use this method of work.

APM Terminals Vado Ligure has shared free insurance coverage for all its employees to support them in any unfortunate circumstance relating to COVID-19.
