APM Terminals participates in UN Climate Change Conference COP22

Marrakech, Morocco – As a leading global port operator, APM Terminals plays an important role in reducing the impact of climate change.  We are setting the pace for the port industry and proud to participate in this year’s conference.

APM Terminals Maasvlakte II Rotterdam in The Netherlands is the first container terminal in the world with zero emissions from container handling equipment.

Using wind-power, the terminal is designed to be safer, quieter and more sustainable, using the latest technology and innovation.

APM Terminals Tangier MedPort Managing Director Dennis Olesen will speak at the event on “Ports of the Future – our vision for the future using safety, technology and innovation.”

Building on our expertise from Maasvlakte II, APM Terminals future port in Morocco, called APM Terminals MedPort Tangier, opening in 2019 will reflect the latest port design and technology.
