APM Terminals Maasvlakte II is continuously working on improving the truck handling to make our truck handling safer and faster.

Faster Truck Turn around Time

In our last newsletter, we informed you about an improvement of the stack cranes. The stack crane determines more precise where to put down the container on the chassis. This means when you pick up a container, the process will be executed more often automatically, and you have your container even faster on your chassis. This improvement contributes to a faster Truck Turn around Time, that is seen in the average of 22 minutes over the past 3 weeks. This improvement has now been implemented on all landside stacker cranes.

Expiry date of your CargoCard

If you, as a truck driver, want to activate your CargoCard at our terminal, you must see the port instruction and pass the security test. After this, you will receive a blue card with your own information and the expiry date of the port instruction. Please see image.

The port instruction, just like the CargoCard, is valid for 2 years. This means that your access to the terminal will expire after 2 years. If you would like to extend this, please register at our security. Here you can watch the port instruction and pass the security test again.

We would like to ask you to check the expiration date of the CargoCard and the blue card of APM Terminals Maasvlakte II yourself. So, you can extend in time at a suitable time.
