Meet Lisbeth Thomas Fuller
Empowering women in APM Terminals Moín
Alongside thousands of female colleagues globally, Lisbeth Thomas Fuller, our Director of Human Resources and Labour Relations at APM Terminals Moín, is an active participant in the Power Women Network at APM Terminals, and founder of the group in Costa Rica.

The group, which spans the A.P. Moller-Maersk (APM Terminals is part of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group), brings together women from all administrative and operational areas to promote the opening opportunities to work, and lead, in an environment where change is happening.
When it comes to the underrepresentation of women in the logistics area, she says: “The development of talent begins with the development of leaders. We have provided psychologically safe spaces, and made visible the work of women in our company, so they serve as an inspiration for others inside and outside the maritime, transport and logistics sector.”
A balanced approach
“On a personal level, as a single parent with two children, I know it takes a tribe to balance everything. I feel very proud, happy and grateful to have the right people in my life – and that includes in my work. Everyone has to find the formula that works for them, and that might need to be changed over the years. In my case, it has been about establishing my priorities very well every day and sometimes reconciling them with reality. Some things have had to be postponed for things that are more pressing or of greater weight for the family. Above all, I consider that my balance lies in giving myself fully to what I do and leaving guilt and ‘what ifs’ behind."
Model leader
According to Lisbeth, modelling is the best strategy. "For women in sectors so permeated by men, modelling is key to increase confidence and dispel the myths and archaic ideas that do still exist. Diverse leadership generates better results, a higher level of critical analysis, more avenues of solutions to problems and better anticipation of obstacles. I’m proud to contribute to that.”
