Martijn van Dongen

Martijn van Dongen joined A.P.Moller-Maersk in 2005. He was appointed Head of Corporate Development for APM Terminals in July 2018 and Head of Investment in July 2022, and is a member of APM Terminals' management team.

He has worked in various leadership positions within the Group across several businesses and countries including China, Chile, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom and Vietnam. Prior to this role, Mr van Dongen was CEO of GMTCB, a portfolio of 8 container terminals in Spain and Latin America, acquired by APM Terminals in 2015.

As a Dutch national, Martijn van Dongen holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and has completed advanced business programs at the Geneva-based International Institute for Management Development (IMD), and the Fontainebleau, France-based Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires (INSEAD).
