Lifting the bar – set complete new standards

During week 4 and 5 the call of 2M networks “Manchester Maersk”, APM Terminals in Gothenburg burst all previous records. The old record from this summer of over 3800 containers, on a single call, is now blasted and a new record is set for impressive 4350 containers!

- That we reach these record levels now is no coincidence. We are constantly working to improve the service to our customers both on land and at sea. Our internal productivity at the terminal has also been improved, says Magnus Lundberg, COO at APM Terminals.

APM Terminals and the Port of Gothenburg is the only gateway in Sweden with the capacity to handle the world's largest vessels, which transport the large freight flows directly between Europe and the world. Management requires well-functioning ship management and an equally crucial factor is efficient infrastructure and handling of the trains and trucks that take the goods to and from the terminal.

- We see that interest has increased for our unique opportunity, where goods are loaded on a train somewhere in Sweden within 24 hours passed through the terminal and further aboard the vessels that operate the major ports around the world, says Morten Brühl, CCO APM Terminals.
