APM Terminals Gothenburg included in MSC’s new direct service connecting Northern Europe and Asia

In February 2025, MSC will start a completely new rotation between Asia and Northern Europe, a route that will include APM Terminals in Gothenburg. The new, exclusive line offers an efficient and reliable direct connection between Scandinavia’s largest port and the global market.

With weekly departures and a competitive transit time of just 40 days between Shanghai and Gothenburg, without transshipment, this service will become a vital artery in Sweden’s global trade flows.

“We are grateful that MSC has chosen to enhance its services through APM Terminals in Gothenburg,” says Mikael Gutman, Managing Director of APM Terminals Nordic. “Our customers, representing a substantial part of Sweden’s business community, depend on reliable and efficient sea freight routes. This service, combined with our integrated rail connections to key Scandinavian hubs, not only meets their logistical needs but also reinforces APM Terminals Gothenburg’s position as Sweden’s central logistics hub.”

The rotation will include:

Ningbo – Shanghai – Xiamen – Singapore – Le Havre – Rotterdam – Gothenburg – Aarhus – Port Klang – Singapore – Laem Chabang – Vung Tau – Busan.
