Fast repair service - when everyday counts

With a fast and smooth repair service directly in the terminal area, your empty container can be restored and ready for use within a few days. This enables you, as an APM Terminals customer, to avoid unnecessary delays in the supply chain.

"The economic downturn entails an increased need for empty containers," says Henrik Krona, responsible for the empty depot at APM Terminals Gothenburg. "Here in the terminal area, just a stone’s throw from the quay, our three partners Glamco, MCR and Elfcon carry out repairs and maintenance on empty containers to ensure maximum flow efficiency.

Unique repair service – saves time and reduces emissions

"All empty containers that arrive at APM Terminals Gothenburg are inspected by our skilled staff. The containers that need to be repaired are transported seamlessly to the repair area," says Henrik Krona. "Offering repair directly at the terminal area is a unique service, even on a global level. The shipping companies particularly value the time savings and emissions reduction, as unusable containers do not need to be transported by truck outside the port. This service would not have been possible without our partners."

"We prioritise moving the containers quickly. The demand has increased significantly over the last three years. Every day we repair around 200 containers. We do everything from repairs to washing," says Kennie Glamheden, CEO of Glamco Containerservice. "Unserviceable empty containers lifted off the ship are repaired and put into service within a couple of days. Good cooperation with APM Terminals is crucial to maintaining fast and smooth service."
