New services for truck drivers and trucking companies

Truck drivers play a crucial role in the terminal’s operation flow. Hence, we constantly strive to improve the truck drivers’ experience and make their daily visit as easy and smooth as possible.

As a Trucker Care Agent at the terminal, one of Metta Uneman’s focus area is to ensure that the truck drivers get pleasant experience whenever having a touchpoint with the terminal. We are delighted to see our achievement in the past year:

• In June 2019, the second automated gate was in operation, which further reduced the handling time and doubled the capacity to receive trucks.
• New SMS service was developed, where information can be sent directly to the truck drivers via SMS in case of any interruptions or other important events at the terminal. The driver also can receive a reminder when it is time to renew the visitor card.
• The truck drivers can now see the expected handling time on a display outside the gate.
• A new Traffic Management solution has been developed together with our customers and is based on a two-queue system in Port 3 for minimized queue formation.

Digital receipt - EIR Ticket online

Another milestone that we’ve reached together with our customer is to develop a solution for the digital receipt from the gate. This does not only simplify the work for trucking companies, but also for the truck drivers.

Through our new Digital Receipt (EIR) service, the truck driver no longer needs to have their receipts in paper format for accounting. Now the receipt is created easily via our website.

This means that the trucking companies can get the receipt at the same time as the truck driver leaves the terminal. In addition, the data entered is saved for a full year, which means that the receipt can be retrieved at any time.
