Our terminal is running as usual
The outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), has affected Sweden and the rest of the world in all parts of society. At APM Terminals, we do everything we can to maintain full capacity.
As the main gateway to Sweden, we are continuously in close contact with local and national authorities, following all the safety and security guidelines to support cargo in and out of Sweden.
Our focus is on keeping our employees safe and securing undisrupted cargo flows through the terminals. Following measures are taken to prepare ourselves and our business with you for the continued impact of the current situation.
Health and safety
We are offering all our employees highest protection and the working processes at the terminal are organized in a “contactless” manner to avoid any unnecessary interaction. All office employees are fully enabled to work remotely to secure business continuity, and we have strong and reliable IT systems and tools to support us.
Operations
Today, our terminal is running as usual and we are operating at full capacity. We have contingency plans, with the aim of mitigating any possible impact to our operational capacity, in place. Our contingency plans include for instance measures to secure safety of our employees and cargo flow, as well as extra manning, back up of multiskills for critical positions and shift patterns.
We have very dedicated employees working hard and doing their utmost to minimize impact and deliver the maximum capacity possible under these extraordinary circumstances.
