Go Live Nextlogic 08th Of May

Go live Nextlogic 08th of May.

Dear Barge operator & shipper,

We would like to inform you that the go-live to Nextlogic will take place on Monday 08-05-2023 10h00. A major change for the barge operator, shipper, but also the terminal. We hereby ask for your understanding in the first hours after going live.

What does this mean to you?
The barge planning of the Nextlogic participants will not take place bilaterally, but integrally.
Non NXL participant: No process changes will occur for you. We will schedule your barges on Friday 5th of May until Monday 8th of May 23h59.
NXL participant: We will schedule bilaterally on until Monday 8th of May 12h00 (planned eta). Following that time, the Nextlogic Optimizer will schedule the barge agreements. We will turn on the optimizer earlier to ensure the shortest portstay time. We strive to ensure that this runs as smoothly as possible, we do this by reserving more than sufficient Nextlogic capacity.

Calls created in the “old” bilateral way with an arrival time after 8th of May 12h00, will not be returned definitively, but there is an opportunity to check the un- &/or loading lists until arrivals of 9th May 23h59.Of course, every party must get used to using a new process, so we would like to ask for your understanding in this start-up phase.

What we expect from you?

Non NXL participant: No process changes will occur for you.
NXL participant: Your appointment window for the 8th of May has been reserved during planning at 5th of May. At 10:15 am we will ask you by telephone to remove the bilateral call & to insert an integral call. (Same process, however from that time terminal settings are installed to integral in Portbase & Nextlogic). We also request you, to move the data (unloading and loading list) from the bilateral call to the integral call. We will ensure that, for the first few hours, your originally planned window is guaranteed.
