Terminal Clean Up Week

Although we all like to live and work in a clean environment, litter is a challenge. We are contributing to the solution by organizing a Terminal Clean Up Week. With this Terminal Clean Up Week, we are joining an initiative by the 'Plastic Soup Foundation' to hold an annual national cleanup day.

During Terminal Clean Up Week, more than 60 colleagues worked together to clean up the terminal. A total of 279 kilos of litter was removed from the terminal!

Sponsoring sanctuary A Seal

As a sustainable terminal, a clean working and living environment is important to us. For ourselves, but also for the animals that live on and around our terminal. A lot of waste ends up in the sea, which can make animals sick. Fortunately, there is a sanctuary A Seal in Stellendam to care for sick seals. The seals are released when they are healthy again and can survive in the wild. APM Terminals Maasvlakte II has become a sponsor of the seal sanctuary A Seal and, in this way, helps the sick seals in the living area between IJmuiden and Cadzand.
