APM Terminals Pipavav inaugurates Rampara check-dam under its CSR project ‘Pravah’

In its constant endeavor to improve the life of local villagers around the port, APM Terminals Pipavav under the integrated water resource management project ‘Pravah’ has constructed and inaugurated check-dam at village Rampara -2 in Gujarat. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ms. Harsha Mashelkar, Head (HR, CSR & Admin), Capt. RavindraNath Pillarisetti, Head (Port – Infra & Development) along with distinguished members of Rampara, Kovaya and surrounding villages.

Rampara check-dam will benefit the residents of Rampara and Kovaya villages by bringing more than 300 acres of agricultural land under adequate irrigation, providing fresh water to 683 households consisting of around 7000 people, livestock management to both villages and increasing crop acreage. ‘Pravah’ is in-line with the overall Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of APM Termianls Pipavav that has benefitted local inhabitant of 33 villages of Rajula block in Amreli district.
