Customer Advisory: Trailer Driver Fatigue

We hope this message finds you well. Your safety and the safety of those on the road are of utmost importance to us at APM Terminals, Pipavav. We are writing to bring to your attention a critical safety enhancement that we strongly recommend for your container truck.

Safety and security are paramount when it comes to transporting your cargo, and we are committed to ensuring the highest standards in your operations. We would like to bring to your attention a critical safety measure that can significantly enhance the security of your cargo during road transit: trailer driver fatigue.

The Importance of a Trailer Driver:

Trailer drivers play an integral role in ensuring that the cargo flow remains ongoing between the terminal and complimentary container depots such as Containerised Freight Stations, ICDs, warehouses and cargo-owner locations. It is important that these individuals are cared for and well trained to help them discharge their role safely.

We request you to ensure that the drivers deployed by you/ your representatives or channel partners get adequate rest and report to the terminal devoid of fatigue. Container terminal, as you all shall agree, are facilities where heavy cargo is handled using heavy equipment and thus people accessing such facilities must be alert to ensure safe operations.

We solicit your support to deliver our services ensuring safety to all at the terminal  including the Tractor Trailer Drivers.
