Customer Advisory: Safety Lock installation on Container Trailers

We hope this message finds you well. APM Terminals strives for the highest level of safety standards across all its operations. This ensures safety of its customers, employees, vendors, cargo and equipment but most importantly ensuring that safety is a commitment towards our family, colleagues and society in general.

At Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited we do not have many trailers undertaking operations without the “safety lock” fixed on their chassis. We do strongly recommend the installation of “safety lock” on all container trucks. This recommendation follows best global practices ensuring safety of the truck driver, attendant, container, cargo and truck itself.

While the cost of installation may vary depending on the type of safety lock and vehicle's specifications, please view it as a valuable investment.
