New Inbound Gate Complex Final Testing Phase Scheduled for Tue. 8/4
As APM Terminals Elizabeth moves another step closer to the completion of our $200M Modernization Project, we are proud to announce that our final testing phase of the new inbound gate complex is currently scheduled to commence on Tuesday, August 4th.
In addition to the inbound lanes at the current gate, we will be opening 12 of the 24 gate lanes at our new inbound complex. Please note that with these additional lanes opening on Tuesday August 4th, the Empty Annex located on Tripoli Street will be closed. All inbound truck traffic will continue to be directed to the main entrance at the Polaris Street & McLester Street intersection - located at the southern end of the property just north of the McLester Street curve. Please note that all inbound full reefer loads must use lanes #1 and #2 only at the new inbound gate (see Diagram 1 and Diagram 2). Inbound full reefer loads will not be accepted at the current inbound gate lanes. All other move types will be able to use any open inbound lane; new & current gate.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts between the Port Authority of NY & NJ and APMT engineering staff, the main entrance will also be accessible directly from Polaris Street. Trucks traveling West to East on Polaris Street will now be able to cross McLester Street to access the facility. This will also assist trucks heading southbound on McLester Street, making the jug-handle from McLester Street onto Polaris Street a viable APMT access option (see Diagram 3 and Diagram 4). We will be sure to keep you updated with any changes or additional information as needed.

We look forward to increasing service levels through our modernization project and your unwavering cooperation. As always, thank you for your continued support.
