Safety Reminder

A driver should never attempt to pass BEHIND a container handler that is actively retrieving or placing containers in the stack.  Even if the driver feels there is plenty of room in isle/row, the driver should wait until the container handler has completed their task.
 
Appointments Best Practice

We have been proud to keep consistent turn times that average well under 1 hour daily.  The Mobile, AL facility has been pro-actively taking steps to handle increased cargo and more importantly how to handle cargo that is now dwelling at the facility for longer than normal.  One item we are wanting to ask drayage providers; please put in your 6am and/or 7am IMPORT appointments by 3:30pm the previous day.  The staff is pro-actively looking at these the day prior to provide the best service possible to start your day.  Again, make sure the import pickup portion is in 3:30pm the day prior.  You can always merge the other portion of your appointment after 3:30pm.
 
Hurricane Update

As everyone is aware, Fred is tracking to enter the US Gulf. While Mobile, AL sits on the edge of the current cone, the terminal is already in our standard protocols of preparation mode.  Please make sure everyone on your staff is signed up for this email service. 

APM Terminals Mobile, AL will provide email updates via this service. During potential hurricane threats, we will be as transparent as possible with any decisions made by the terminal management staff.  As soon as a decision is made, we will IMMEDIATELY communicate via this email service. 

If a change of hours at the terminal is made we will utilize this email service AND the text message for those that opted in for that.  We kindly ask that you do NOT personally email for updates, as we will provide updates via this service as soon as we have new information.
