Port of Salalah COVID-19 Update
Dear Valued customer,
Following the evolving developments in the region with respect to the identified cases of COVID-19, we at Port of Salalahare continuously monitoring the situation and are aligning our responses accordingly. Based on the directives from the relevant Govt. authorities,we doing our utmost to maintain business continuity while ensuring the health and safety of the people in our premises.
We have escalated our preventative and precautionary measures to LEVEL-2,which augments measures already in place.
Current level – Level 2
Following measures implemented as per Level 2 preparedness:
- Internal precautionary measures
- Awareness and alertness to the ongoingsituation amongst our employees and associates
- Reduce meetings and substitute with video and phone calls both internally and externally.
- Social distancing, keeping at least 1 meter space between staff.
- Stoppage of business travelsand recommendations on personal travels
- Reduce usageof paper, substitute with emails and soft copies.
- Access to the port are subject to thermal scanning and all entry points are being equipped with thermal scanners.
- Operational updates / measures
Container Terminal
- Vessel operations continue as normal
- Gate operations continue as normal.
- We will be prioritizing deliveries of food and essential supplies as the situation demands
General Cargo Terminal
- Dry / liquid bulk operations continue as normal.
- Dhow operations continue as normal.
Marine services
- Marine operations continue as normal.
- Crew Change is not permitted.
- Cruise operations limited to bunkering at anchorage as may be required.
- Port health doctor will check all vessels on berthing and grant free pratique prior to start of any cargo operations which might impact commencement of vessel operations
Administration
None of the Port of Salalah staff have tested positive for the coronavirus. The company has undertaken significant proactive preventative measures to safeguard our employees' health and safety while managing day to day operationswith minimal interruption.
In order to increase social distancing, the non-operation staff will be split and work in shifts so as to be reduce the probability of transmission.

The Port of Salalah team will continue to operate as usual to assist you with anyissues you may experience. While external meetings have been restricted, should you feel the need, we encourage you to get in touch with usandwe willmake arrangements to set up a virtual meeting.
We request your understanding and hope you will bear with us on the potential inconveniences these precautions might have on your businesses as this is done in your best interest as well as to ensure that we keep the port running
