Commencement of New Scanning Process

Dear Esteemed Customer,

Sequel to the stakeholder meetings and agreement reached on Monday April 3rd, 2023, we are pleased to inform you of the newly improved and approved scanning process agreed by All stakeholders (Leadership of all Nigerian Licensed Customs Agencies operating in Onne) facilitated by Nigerian Customs Service Onne Command. This improvement came in recognition of the federal government drive for ease of doing business in relations to the customer concerns with the old process.

The new process would require customers to book for scanning, raise invoice, make payment and the booked units will be scanned using WACT terminal trucks the next day. The scanned units will be returned to the yard stack while customers approach customs and terminal for release and final release (TDO). The customer needs to be there during scanning for rechecks and any questions customs may need clarified (minor re-checks).

As agreed, the scanning fees will be equal to the current applicable fees at the physical examination ground. The units which fail the scanning and require physical examination will be subjected to an additional NGN10,000 per container

Kindly note that the new process will commence on the 24’h of April 2023

For further clarifications on the new process feel free to reach out to us via below contacts.
