Customer Advisory - End of 48 Hours Permit Validity

Dear Valued customer,

Please be informed that effective August 31, 2022, all entry permits issued by the terminal will be valid as per the pay through date; and, further extensions will be based on additional payment for the period required by the requester.

The decision to extend permits for 48 hours was predicated upon the Joint Stakeholders Resolution derived from the meeting held by all port stakeholders at the head office of the National Port Authority on May 4, 2021 to bring the go slow action by the customs brokers to a reasonable conclusion.

The go-slow action was initiated accordingly to the brokers because of the terminal’s inability to load their cargo.

Consequently, in section 1.2 of the resolution, APMT Liberia agreed to give a 48 hours window to all customers receiving pick up ticket/entry permit because of the lack of adequate equipment.

We are pleased to inform you that this condition no longer exists after the arrival of a set of 3 brand new Reach Stackers (equipment used to handle containers) which have been deployed since their arrival in August 2021 after an investment of US$1.5 million.

Ever since our delivery services have improved immensely and we continue to support the port stakeholders and customers.

In line with our strategic approach of improving the port efficiency in order to enable the economic growth of Liberia through innovative port services we continue to introduce new products and services including but not limited to the PAD (Port Automation and Digitization), the truck appointment system, the refurbishment of the RoRo Yard, etc.
