APM Terminals Liberia celebrates 10 years of uninterrupted service and commitment to the Government and peace-loving people of Liberia

APMT officially commenced operations in Liberia, February 2011 with a mission to contribute to the growth and development of the Liberian economy. Since the inception of the concession, APM Terminals Liberia has invested over USD 100 million in infrastructure and equipment and has transformed the Freeport of Monrovia into a modern facility. APMT has successfully completed the construction of a 600meter quay, 80000 square meter container pavement yard, a modern refer park, a 2 x 3 lane entry and exit gates and a state-of-the-art corporate administrative building.

In line with our safety culture and commitment to the security of our business the terminal has been equipped with 65+ CCTV cameras and biometric access control system.

An overview of the transition of the Port infrastructures beginning from year 2011 to year 2018 can be seen in the below photo.

As a company, one of our core values is “Our Employees” so it goes without saying that we are most proud of the investment in our human capital. As of today, APM Terminals Liberia has trained over one thousand, three hundred employees and sub-contractors in key disciplines in our industry. Our employees have been recognized internationally as some of the best in the AP. Moller Maersk family.

We must recognize our employees during this decade milestone because what successes we celebrate today would not be possible without them. To honor their achievements, dedication and hard work, our long service employees were certificated at the 10th Anniversary program celebration organized in the terminal on February 24, 2021. The occasion was graced with our key stakeholders and partners, guest performers and the APMT employees at large.

Our stakeholders are also an integral part of our business and we are immensely grateful for their collaboration and support. Special recognition and thanks go to the Government of Liberia, the National Port Authority (NPA), the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), the shipping lines, the stevedoring companies, the Custom Brokers Association, Truckers Association and all our many loyal customers. We strive to continue lifting global trade and are excited and looking forward to more fruitful engagements during the remainder of the current concession term and beyond.
