APM Terminals Liberia continues support for front-line health workers in fight against COVID-19

APM Terminals Liberia is continuing their efforts to support local communities in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This month the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility involved the donation of vital medical supplies to ailing Liberian medical facilities, helping to curb the spread of the disease.

APM Terminals Liberia, donated 10,000 Surgical masks, 10,000 Examination gloves and 300 Isolation Gowns to the Government and People of Liberia through the Executive Committee on Coronavirus in Liberia (ECOC), headed by the General Services Director of Liberia and Coordinator Madam Mary T. Broh.

During the presentation ceremony, Managing Director of APM Terminals Liberia, George G. Adjei said, “There is an urgent need to underscore prevention as a key way of staving off the pandemic, since there are no known effective therapies or vaccines against the virus.” He further stated that, “The donation of the PPEs was to support the protection of Frontline Heath workers, as one cannot have a state-of-the-art health infrastructure without Frontline Health workers.”

In response to APMT Liberia’s remarks, the coordinator of the Executive Committee on Coronavirus in Liberia (ECOC), Madam Mary T. Broh thanked APMT Liberia for the numerous contributions they have made and continue to make towards the Country and its citizens. APM Terminals Liberia received a Donor certificate of Appreciation from the Committee.
