Barge Operators - Flats & 45ft Full & Empty register via the Out of Gauge field in Portbase.
Dear Customer,
We would like to draw your attention to an important procedure regarding entering the planned quantities in the Portbase screen. This mainly includes the so-called "specials" such as Out of Gauge (OOG), twinnable units, empty flats and 45ft (PW) containers.
From now on, we would kindly request that you register 45ft PW containers, Flats (both full and empty) & OOG via the Out of Gauge field. Additional information regarding dimensions can be added in the "Remarks field".
Flats (bundled/unbundled) should therefore not be entered in the "in bundles" field, but in the Out of Gauge field.
Twinnable units can simply be entered in the Twinnable field.
The reason for this is that these are Terminal Trekker moves and will occur outside the automatic (AGV) process. The data regarding "specials" are automatically entered into our system. This not only helps us to accurately calculate the time required per barge, but also to take the right precautions, resulting in reliable planning.
When we receive the correct information, we can create an efficient and reliable planning that benefits our collaboration.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours sincerely,
Berthplanning
