Update: Row Closures and Appointment Availability
Good Afternoon Valued Customers & Stakeholders,
As a follow up to the Row Closure notice sent earlier this week, the terminal has been making significant progress moving units back into open areas as space is made available. This process will continue through this weekend. The aim is to have all units in closed areas made accessible by mid-next week (Wk#19). As stated on the Row Closure tab on our website, any units affected by Row Closures will have the proper free time added once they are actually moved to an open area and are accessible. We encourage customers and stakeholders to check our import availability online for latest info - emails not ideal for timely import availability inquiries.
Increased Appointment Slots
Per request of the drayage community, APM Terminals Port Elizabeth will also increase the amount of appointments we usually provide at this capacity as we fully understand that some of this cargo may be very hot as it becomes available. Please note that this could affect turn times as the appt. system is key to terminal flow and overall truck driver experience. Rest assured that we do not expect any disruption.
Please reach out to your terminal reps. if you have any questions or concerns. As always, thank you for your continued support.
Thank you,
APM Terminals Elizabeth Management
