Direct Port Delivery

Under DPD, importers can clear their shipments directly from terminal. It minimizes turn around time & total cost for import consignments.

Benefits:

  • Fastest custom clearance for AEO client
  • Reduces the delivery time of import cargo.
  • Cost-effective as compare to clearance from CFS/ICD.
  • DPD clearance and delivery facility is open 24x7.

DPD facility is boon for importers as this activity cuts down the transportation/handling and custom clearance cost of import containers. Importers can request clearance of cargo within port premises and move the containers through road or rail mode to their premises.

Request Process:

  • Importer shall submit request letter for DPD to DC or AC- Port Customs (along with supporting documents).
  • Customs House will respond with permission/rejection.
  • In case of permission granted by Customs, documents will be forwarded to the terminal.
  • Customer registration shall complete, once receive unique DPD Code from terminal.
  • Basis DPD Code, customer needs to open PDA with terminal.
  • For every DPD shipment, Customer/shipping line need to inform terminal about DPD containers at least 24 hours before vessel berthing.

Other Restrictions:

  • Advance BL submission to S/L to release e-DO (Electronic Delivery Order).
  • Advance Bill of Entry to be filled in Customs for Out of Charge (OOC).
  • Submission of E-DO & OOC at terminal within 72 hrs. of container discharge.
