Customer Advisory: Scheduled Service Upgrades for STS Cranes Starting 22nd January 2025

Dear valued Customers,

Warm greetings from APM Terminals Pipavav!

In our ongoing commitment to ensure sustained operational excellence and efficiency, we will be undertaking a major maintenance initiative for two middle STS cranes at GP-04. Maintenance is scheduled to begin on 22nd January, with work conducted sequentially— one crane at a time—over an estimated duration of 25 days per crane.

While operating vessels, the maintenance-crane boom will remain in the down position.

Key support required from the customer to run the operation smoothly:

1. Preferred Berthing:
   • Port side alongside is recommended for vessels with stern accommodation.
   • Starboard side berthing is possible if the air draft does not exceed 43 meters.
2. Pre-Arrival Information:
   • Provide air draft details and the location of the highest point (relative to the bow and stern) to Pipavav Port Control 24 hours in advance (or 12 hours for coastal voyages).
3. Stowage Recommendations:
   • Keep two vacant bays at the midsection of the vessel to enable maximum crane deployment and ensure quicker turnaround times.
