APM Terminals Pipavav goes live with RFID Container tracking service

Integrated Container tracking system commences at APM Terminals Pipavav today. This is a technology introduced by National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Ltd (NICDC) under Logistics Data Bank (LDB) project, which will help in tracking the container from port to Container Freight Stations (CFSs), Inland Container Depots (ICDs) and end users. This would help in enhancing the visibility and efficiency of the container movement thereby improving the competitiveness of the Exim trade. The system will bring in much needed visibility and transparency and reduce overall transportation time across the sector to benefit exporters and importers using Pipavav as their gateway port.
