Port Operators Combine 'Green' Efforts

APM Terminals, DP World, Hutchison Port Holdings Limited (HPH), PSA International and Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG), representing five of the world’s largest port operators, have launched a joint effort, joined by the Port of Rotterdam Authority (PRA), to promote environmental awareness and improve sustainability in all communities in which they conduct business.

The “Go Green” campaign will take place from September 14^th through 21^st, with a focus on three main themes: re-use and recycling, climate change, and the communities in which port operations take place. A range of activities covering all three themes will be organized by the participating port operators’ local business units to address and raise awareness globally.

APM Terminals Rotterdam and APM Terminals Rotterdam Maasvlakte II both employ sustainably wind-generated electricity for port operations.
