New Records for Maasvlakte II

APM Terminals Rotterdam Maasvlakte II established a new record at the Port of Rotterdam, loading onboard the 18,300 TEU capacity EEE-Class Madison Maersk 17,152 TEUs, including containers stacked ten high above deck stowage. The Madison Maersk is deployed on the Maersk Line AE-10 service between Asia and Europe. Over 1,000 containers were handled during the 15-hour port call, before the Madison Maersk sailed for Tangier, Morocco for its next scheduled call back to the Far East.

Another record was set earlier in October when APM Terminals Rotterdam Maasvlakte II performed 1,000 moves with a gross crane moves per hour of 20.8 on the 8,500 TEU capacity Maersk Lanco, serving the Maersk Samba service between Europe and South America.
