Barcelona Charity

APM Terminals Barcelona continued the three-year tradition of helping to raise food and personal products during the Christmas season at the Port of Barcelona, Spain, known as the “Solidarity Christmas” initiative.

This past December, APM Terminals Barcelona provided the designated Solidarity Container which served as the donation collection point for the annual charity initiative.

Volunteers from different areas of APM Terminals worked to promote the organization, collection and donation of goods, in support of the local community. A total of 1,300 kgs of food and 2,400 kgs of personal healthcare products were donated. These goods were then presented to the Barcelona Food Bank and Ires Foundation, both non-profit organizations, which distributed the goods among people in need.

APM Terminals acquired Terminal de Contenedores de Barcelona in March 2016 as part of the acquisition of Grup TCB’s terminal portfolio, rebranding the facility as APM Terminals Barcelona in July 2016. APM Terminals currently operates five terminals in Spain, with a combined throughput capacity of over 8 million TEUs.
