Advisory: NO PDA Import container discharge at GTI
Dear Valued Stakeholders,
Greeting from APMT Mumbai!
This is to clarify the process associated with commencement of DPD services to importers at our terminal. All accredited importers who would like to avail DPD services irrespective of mode of delivery (DPD-DPD or DPD-CFS) are required to open a PD Account post allocation of a common code by JNPCT. This is in line with JNCH PN 53/2018 Clause 4.ii which states
Quote
“Whenever such DPD code is allotted by JNPCT, intimation of the same should be sent to other terminals (NSICT/NSIGT/GTI/BMCT). Thereafter, importer should approach other terminals to comply with other requirements like opening of PD Account etc. with the same DPD code (as allotted by JNPCT).”

The PD Account opening process also helps formalize a business relationship between the importers and the terminal and further takes care of any future consequences- financial or operational. Opening of the PDA (Proforma Disbursement Account) at GTI is a simple step where the Importer just needs to fill-in an online form with supporting documents and contact details. This is a one-time activity, which takes maximum of around 2 working days to complete, once terminal receive the online application from customers. The form can be accessed at our terminal website:

We seek you kind support to get this small step completed by the importers as soon as the importers are allocated common code by JNPCT, to help us all avoid delay in releasing the first lot of containers on arrival.
Regards,
