Advisory: Early gate-in for export by-road containers

Greetings from APM Terminals Mumbai!

This is to advise you that the terminal has made arrangements to extend Early Gate-in facility for export containers.

Based on feedback and requests received from the trade, export containers, on occasion, arrive prior to vessel gate opening and have to wait for the vessel gates to open. To minimise the waiting time for such containers, the terminal shall allow such containers to gate-in, in limited numbers, to support the export trade.

Early gate-in containers should be pre-informed via an additional service request (ASR) from the respective shipping line. The number of containers that may be gated-in prior to vessel gate opening hours shall remain within operational and regulatory limitations.

With the above facility in place, we are confident of supporting our local export trade.
