Waiver on Change of Mode of Transport
Greetings from APM Terminals Mumbai!
The ongoing COVID 19 situation has impacted the by-road container traffic at the terminal. The import evacuation has suffered. In order to ease the same, many chose to change the mode of transport declared in the import manifest.
With reference to Ministry of Shipping guidelines (Ref. No.: PD-14300/4/2020-PD VII dated 31st March 2020) and in order to support our customers, we are offering the following relief:
Change in Mode of Transport: APM Terminals Mumbai shall waive off charges towards change of mode of transport applicable on import containers post discharge for all such changes effected between 22nd March 2020 and 14th April 2020, both days inclusive.
Please be advised that the waiver extended shall reflect through credit notes in the ledger. Delivery shall be made basis positive PDA only. Credit notes will be processed in the months of April / May 2020.
Wish to further highlight that yard health and thus yard inventory remains critical to terminal operations. We thus solicit your cooperation towards ensuring focus on import evacuation at the earliest possible to help terminal operations continue enabling delivery of seamless terminal services to India’s EXIM trade.
As the situation remains dynamic, we continue to monitor the situation carefully and reserve to right to withdraw / amend and or extend the above waiver.
