From Moín to the future: 150 students receive educational support from APM Terminals

- Students belong to the Police Athletic Leagues of Limón.

Aware of the importance of being an ally in the education and development of Limón communities, APM Terminals Moín made a significant donation of school supplies and desks. This initiative seeks to directly benefit around 150 students, including children and young people from Limón, some of whom are part of the Police Athletic Leagues (LAP).

The donation includes complete packages of school supplies, designed according to the official lists of the Ministry of Public Education (MEP). Each kit contains essential items such as notebooks, colored pencils, a scientific calculator, a basic dictionary, and specific materials such as a recorder, a periodic table and a physical-political map. In addition, each package will be delivered in a reusable bag, promoting the company's commitment to sustainability in the communities.

In addition, desks were provided to improve the educational conditions of the students at the Moín school. Overall, this initiative represents an investment of approximately $4,000 that can be reflected in the personal and professional development of each student.

A commitment that transcends time

APM Terminals Moín has been promoting this type of actions since its arrival in the country, as part of its commitment to the development of the communities of Limón. On this occasion, planning began in December 2024 and will culminate in February with the delivery of the materials and furniture.

“This donation reflects our commitment to the integral development of the communities surrounding our operations. Education is a key tool for transforming lives, and we want to be part of that positive change,” said José Rueda, managing director of APM Terminals Moín.

APM Terminals Moín volunteers, who are always willing to collaborate and share with the beneficiary students, will participate in the delivery of the school supplies and desks.

“We want to contribute to the welfare of new generations and reaffirm our relationship with local communities. Through this initiative, we seek to provide young people with the necessary tools to achieve their goals and dreams,” added Krizia Cantón, CSR coordinator of APM Terminals Moín.
