Safe operation

A safe working environment is crucial for everyone. And especially at an automated terminal, the safety of employees, contractors, and everyone else at the terminal is paramount.
 
Because of the fully fenced automated area, men and machine are separated as much as possible at the terminal. Employees or contractors must regularly enter the automatic area for maintenance work, for example. After following a strict procedure, an employee or contractor can safely enter the automatic area. The system blocks virtually a part of the automatic area for the automatic vehicles, which are automatically notified that they are not allowed to enter this part. In this way, employees and contractors can safely work in the automatic area.

An improvement was made during the last update. The system can now block a smaller part in the automatic area. As a result, employees and contractors can still enter the automatic area safely and our operations can continue as usual. This keeps our container handling safe, fast, and even more reliable.
