Automating Yard Opening Time/Cargo Cut Off Time

APM Terminals Maasvlakte II is currently working with Navis on a project called "Automating YOT/CCO". There is a lot of congestion in all ports in Europe. This leads to high yard densities, unreliable vessel schedules (Schedule Reliability) and so on.

As a result, we see a lot of changes in our quay plan. The Yard Opening Times & Cargo Cut Off Time (per vessel) had to be changed manually in our system several times a day. Delays in this are unavoidable and therefore very frustrating for our customers and the hinterland. After this has been automated, the correct Yard Opening Time and Cargo Cut Off Time will always be shown on the website and in Portbase. This makes our service more reliable.

YOT: (Yard Opening Time): Delivery of an export container x-number of days before CCO.

CCO: (Cargo Cut Off Time): Latest delivery time: 24 for ETA Deepsea (depending on Vessel Service).

In addition, we would like to include the above-mentioned specification, so that we can adjust the Yard Density always levels at our terminal.

The solution we are working on, can adjust the delivery times of the export Dry / Reefer / IMO per Service. In this way we try to keep the export dwell times as low as possible. This means that we want to reduce the dwell time of export containers at our terminal. By being able to adjust in good time, we hope to avoid reefer or IMO closures and thus comply with the regulations and the wishes of our customers.

We are currently working hard on this and we will inform you when this will go live.
