APM Terminals Denmark welcomes Mathias Weismann Poulsen as new Chief Commercial Officer for APM Terminals Nordics

APM Terminals Denmark is pleased to announce that Mathias Weismann Poulsen has taken on the role as Chief Commercial Officer for APM Terminals Nordics since 1st November.

mathias-paulsen-800With more than 16 years of experience within the Maersk Group, including recent years as Commercial Manager at APM Terminals in Aqaba, Jordan, Mathias will now be responsible for developing the commercial strategy and strengthening customer and market relationships in the Nordics.

Mathias has a solid background in the shipping industry and has worked at several global container terminals, which has given him a deep understanding of customer needs and the opportunities and challenges of today’s global logistics landscape.

“At APM Terminals Denmark, we are dedicated to enabling our customers to grow their businesses by offering reliable, efficient, and flexible solutions. Whether it’s fast turnaround times, smooth intermodal connections, or a strong focus on customer collaboration, we strive to meet the ever-changing demands of modern supply chains,” says Mathias.

He adds, “Our goal across Aarhus and Kalundborg has not changed – we get up early every day in order to deliver on the promises made and ensure we stay close to our customers to pro-actively develop solutions for the demands of tomorrow.” 

Sustainability in focus

Mathias also places significant emphasis on advancing APM Terminals’ sustainability efforts, with a particular focus on reducing greenhouse gas-emissions and fostering long-term sustainable logistics solutions.

“In the Nordic region, we see great potential to contribute to sustainable logistics by developing solutions that minimize environmental impact. In Denmark, this translates to practical initiatives such as improving operational efficiency, exploring alternative energy sources, and collaborating with partners to deliver greener supply chains,” Mathias explains.
