New automated gates at APM Terminals Gothenburg double available capacity
The automated gates at APM Terminals Gothenburg became fully operational in October 2019, enabling 24/7 service and doubling available capacity. Gate 4 is equipped with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) that can automatically read container numbers, warning labels and check seals for faster handling. Truck Turn Times are down to just 25 minutes compared to a European average of 56 minutes.
