APM Terminals Spanish Gateways launches this year’s Social Action Awards

This year, employees at Barcelona, Valencia and Gijón terminals have until 30 September to submit projects for non-profit organisations.

APM Terminals Spanish Gateways is calling for submissions for the fourth edition of its Social Action Awards. This initiative was set up to support projects at non-profit organizations that support sustainable, social, educational, sporting and cultural development in the areas where we operate, involving both the company and its employees.

Employees in Barcelona, Valencia and Gijón already have at their disposal the terms and conditions for sponsoring candidatures in this call. Deadline to submit projects is 30 September. Beginning in October, the jury – made up of team members at the terminal – will begin its work to choose the winners.

Four years of making an impact

Last year – as a result of the third edition of the Social Action Awards – APM Terminals Spanish Gateways supported projects at seven organisations: Asociación de Padres y Amigos de Cardiopatías Congénitas de Gijón (APACI), Asociación Catalana de Prevención del Suicidio, Asociación de Familiares de Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual de Barcelona, Asociación Valenciana de Padres de Personas con Autismo, Asociación Nacional de Afectados por el Trastorno del Aprendizaje No Verbal, Fundación de la Comunidad Valenciana Solidaria del Puerto de Valencia and Down Valencia Treballant Junts.

This year, as in previous years, the results will be announced and prizes will be awarded in December.
